This list is compiled of all the things the past 25 years have taught me. I say we just dive right in, shall we??
1. Somebody has to win, Somebody has to lose, and Sometimes the loser is going to be you.
Sounds a little harsh but it is a very true fact of life. Sometimes you will fall just a hair short. The best part of it all is you have the opportunity to get back up, work hard, and keep trying.
2. Don’t give in during the “waiting” period.
Wait until you see the reason God had you wait. You will be more grateful for what you have.
3. Be unapologetically weird.
Be your weird self. Don’t worry about what others think. Just be you!
4. Just be you!
There isn’t time to try and be like someone else.
5. You are not God.
Always remember to check yourself, before you wreck yourself. Let go of control and remember that He is God and you are not.
6. Exercising and Healthy Eating shouldn’t be all about losing weight, but living healthy.
This one is fresh off the press for me. I spent a lot of time hating my workouts because I hated my body. Once I embraced how beautiful the temple God gave me is, is when I saw results, self-love, and freedom.
7. My family is my biggest blessing.
Ladies and Gents, I am obsessed with how awesome our family truly is. The older we get I think the closer we are. My parents have turned into our double date go-to’s and my siblings have my back no matter how stupid I am being. lol I also am blessed to get to say that I married into a family that is also full of love and fun!
8. Join a Bible Study with people around your age.
Yea, not going to lie I was hesitant to join at first. Seth and I both were to be honest. Mainly because it was unfamiliar territory. BUT, I have met some of the best people I know in this group and I honestly do not know where I would be without you all. You have helped us through so crazy stuff and we are so blessed to have y’all in our lives! We love you!
9. True friends never give up on you.
To my friends that have seen me cry, seen me laugh, seen me in all forms. You are the real MVPs! You know the true me. No matter how long it’s been. No matter how closed off I get. You see me and I can’t thank God enough for each of you! (You know who you are!)
10. You’re body is not the same after high school. lol
It’s just a fact. haha! It will also be the topic brought up every time you get together with your high school besties….and your besties you didn’t go to high school with….lol
11. Sometimes you just need to cry.
Life is hard. Let out a good cry, wash your face, and conquer the world.
12. Married life is my favorite.
It could be because I married someone as weird as me. 🙂
13. Never EVER believe someone when they say you need to lighten your purse load.
Although it may be true, I promise you as soon as you take out the scrunchie that has been stuffed into the pocket you never open, you are going to need said scrunchie to pull your mop back off your neck when you are sweating at the grocery store.
14. Reading your Bible daily gives you a better idea on how to live life.
Spending time learning with God helps you do life better.
15. The cure for everything (for me at least) is petting any kind of animal.
If you know me, this just makes since. 🙂
16. Jesus sets you free.
Just say His name because when you speak His name your fear and anxieties have to leave.
17. I talk and laugh a lot.
No matter the situation I tend to find myself talking or laughing because it is how I respond to EVERYTHING. If I feel really awkward the more I talk and laugh at myself.
18. Coffee gives me comfort.
This sounds weird, but coffee brings me comfort. It is like an adult security blanket.
19. Furry friends are the best companions.
Need I say more?? 🙂
20. How strong I am.
The older I get the more life throws at me and the more life throws at me, the more I see how strong I truly am.
21. Social Media is a highlight reel.
I learned this about a year ago and made it my mission to try and make things a little more real on it. Life is hard no need to hide anything. It’s okay to not be okay.
22. Your life is going to turn out nothing like you planned.
Okay, maybe somethings will, but overall its going to be completely different. Gods plan is better than yours. Remember that.
23. If you aren’t happy, do something about it.
Get rid of the negative. Get a new job. Go to the gym. Etc. You are in control of your own happiness. Shine the light God gave you.
24. Use the gifts God Gave you to praise and honor Him.
He made you a specific way for a specific reason. Use your gifts to bring people to Him.
25. Stop wishing your life away and embrace the now.
You have one life to live here on this earth. Stop waiting for the weekend to live. Live everyday like it is Friday.
Much love to you all!
