Hebrews Chapter 11
The beautiful words in this chapter talk about faith in action. It list quite a few famous names that you will find throughout the bible, such as, Moses, Noah, Abraham, Enoch, Sarah, etc. All of these people were living in blind faith. They knew God would take care of them. They knew that he could provide them of their needs. And when they all died, they were still living by faith.
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
Y’all faith is not seeing, just like the scripture above states. It is about trusting God is there and he is real and he is alive. Seeing is not believing, believing is seeing. If you believe in his goodness and his promises you are seeing with your heart and not with your eyes. Which is how it should be. Do you think Christians waiver sometimes? Heck yea we do! Life is hard, but choosing to keep faith makes it a whole lot easier.
“By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeing pleasures of sin. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as the greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward.” Hebrews 11:24-26
I believe Moses is the best example to give you guys, because he literally talked to a burning bush. He listened to that voice coming out of it because he had faith that it really was God. I mean can you imagine the thoughts going through his head at that moment?
Moses gave up the life most would dream of, he was found floating in the river by the Pharaoh’s daughter, whom took him in and raised him as her own. So when he left Egypt, he was fleeing from power and fortune. He chose to be to be mistreated along with the Israelites. He chose to faith over the fleeting pleasures of sin, because he knew his reward was coming up ahead.
Moses didn’t fear the wrath that Pharaoh would bring. He didn’t fear the Passover and the destroyer taking lives of the firstborn. He didn’t fear the walls of the Red Sea while walking through them, because God literally led him through water. How insanely awesome is that? Moses was leading thousands of people through legit water walls, because he had faith in God and God had faith in him.
When your faith is wavering, remember Moses. Remember how he literally went from the “top” to the “bottom”. Remember how he was living among the rich and powerful, but chose the life of a slave, because he knew God would reward him for being His servant. Remember just because we don’t get what we are specifically praying for, is because our reward for having faith, is going to be far more breathtaking than we can even begin to dream.
We need to stop being afraid of the world around us. Don’t conform to the world just because they laugh in your face and say, “God isn’t real.” Bounce back tell them you know He is real. You have experienced Him. You have seen Him work miracles. Tell them that you yourself are one of those miracles, because you killed your old self, so you could be free. You see Him through random acts of kindness. You hear Him through the words of believers. You feel Him surrounding you with His wings and keeping you safe from the shots being fired at you. Tell them because you believe in the power of Christ, you see Him every, dang, day.
My friends having blind faith means watching your Giants Fall. I know because I have witnessed my own giants falling, and I want to witness your giants falling as well.
Until next time, much love,
Kylie
