I have been blessed with the opportunity to be an aunt. Being an Aunt has given me the ability to love in a way I have never loved before. Seth and I have four beautiful nieces and three handsome
nephews.
This blog post is dedicated to them.
Dear Niece or Nephew,
This letter is a promise to you. A promise of love, protection, and guardianship. I have taken it upon myself to be secretly overly protective of you (until now obviously). You have changed my life for the better. You will honestly never know how much I truly love you.
I will literally fight for you physically, mentally, and spiritually. I promise to pray for your heart and soul to be opened for God to enter and that you recieve his saving grace. I pray for your eyes to be cleared, so you can see the good in the world. I pray that you let God’s light shine through you in your own special way.
Each of you have your own special talents. You each have your own personalities. You each are unique. Never think twice that you need to change, because you are different from everyone else. That is what makes you, you and there is no one better at being you, than you!
I would give my life for each of you. I would break my bones, and do anything I could, to protect you. I will always be here for you to talk to, to come to, if you can’t face something alone. I will help you tell your parents something if you have done wrong.
Your ages are a wide range, I came into your life at different times. To the ones I haven’t known since birth, I wish I could of been there, so I could of known you longer. But, I will take whatever time I get with you. I do know, each of you were as beautiful then, as you are now.
I will keep this short and sweet, because I could go on and on. Your happiness means everything to me. I love seeing each of you smile and it breaks my heart when you are hurting. I will always be here for you and most importantly, I will always love you.
