Patience Is The Key

7Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. 8Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret-it leads only to evil. 9For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. Psalm 37:7-9

The hardest thing to do, in my opinion, is to be patient. This use to be nearly impossible for me. Up until recently have I realized how to master the art of patience…haha! Yea not really master it, but a way to help me be like, “God’s got this. I don’t need to worry about it.”

When I wanted something, I wanted it right then. I honestly would break down and get upset if things didn’t happen in a specific time frame. Now, I am not talking about the random “stuff” I wanted. I am talking about the “things”. The things that I wanted most and what I put a timeline on. Things like: being financially secure, a forever home, a baby, etc. The things I find to be highly important, but these thing required patients and at the time, I had none.

That is what God has been teaching me over the past year. To have patience in his timing, in his plan. We must be patient and willing to listen, so he can bless us. His love for us is unending. He doesn’t hold out to punish us, but to teach us. To teach us he is the reason we are here on this Earth, not for our wants, but for His desires.

We are stuck in this world of “mine” or “me” or “they have”. Everyone wants something that someone else has. Everyone wants to do it their way, so they can get what they want, but that is not how it works though. Believe me I know.

It is about praising God though all the hardships, as well as, through all the joys. It is also about praising him through the “waiting” period. The “waiting” period is the most crucial part of life. It is where we grow spiritually, if we let God in. If we don’t turn our backs, he is going to do something amazing.

And those plans we thought we had are going to be multiplied by thousands and his plan shows that our plans are nothing compared to His plans for us. He will AMAZE us. We are right now in the desert looking for our Oasis and God is helping us by being our shade and our source of nourishment. He is guiding us there, but He needs us to trust in Him. He wants us to know how much we are loved and that He will always be with us. We just have to put our trust in Him and have patience with His plan.

Much love,

Kylie
